The Good The LG G4 has a sharp and generously sized display, a bevy of camera controls and raw image shooting, a replaceable battery and expandable storage. The Bad Though the phone's battery life is adequate, it doesn't last as long as its competitors. There are no significant new software features and its design feels uninspired.

The LG G4's camera has been given a boost over its predecessor, including a higher resolution, a brighter f/1.8 aperture, raw image shooting and manual controls, I headed out to the streets of Paris to see what it can do, This first shot is my favourite, I slowed the shutter speed right down and used a neural lovecases marble iphone 8 plus / 7 plus case - dream pink reviews density filter simply held over the lens to capture car light trails and smooth waves on the river, I shot in raw mode and was able to process the image in Adobe Lightroom afterwards, Here is the unprocessed JPEG file..

HDR mode was necessary here as well to balance the bright sky and shadows of the people sat enjoying the view.

The resolution, for one, has seen a bump from 13 to 16 megapixels, the lens is brighter, with an f/1.8 aperture, and the image sensor itself has seen a size increase to 1/2.6 inches. I took the camera for a spin around Paris to see just what it's capable of and how it compares to the iPhone 6 and Samsung's Galaxy S6 Edge. I'm pretty pleased with this first shot with the G4. There's loads of detail at full screen, and the auto HDR mode has helped achieve an extremely even balance between the bright sky and the shadowy bushes on the left.
